WHAT WILL MY FIRST SESSION BE LIKE?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your session to fill out health intake and general liability release forms. We will go over intake form and discuss your treatment. More time is spent on the assessment during your 1st appointment than future treatments.Your therapist will leave the room to wash their hands and so that you can disrobe to your level of comfort and arrange yourself under the sheets on the treatment table. The therapist will then return and perform the hands on massage. Your therapist will again leave the room so that you can get dressed before doing any post assessment.
WHEN SHOULD I AVOID GETTING A MASSAGE?
Massage is a relatively low risk form of therapy. However, there are certain conditions which are contraindicated for massage therapy.
Please help keep our clinic and other clients healthy. Avoid visiting when you have symptoms of a communicable disease. Including but not limited to:

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Massage therapy manipulates the soft tissues of the body, so disrobing at your comfort level is equested. You will be lying on a massage table fully covered by a sheet and blanket. When the massage therapist needs to work on a specific area like an arm or leg, that area will be temporarily undraped. If you are uncomfortable at any time or for any reason, please let us know right away and ask any questions you may have.
HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER THE MASSAGE SESSION
Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience a sense of lightness, better mobility or range of motion. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days. Since toxins are released from your soft tissues during a massage, it is recommended you drink plenty of water following your massage. In some cases, it is normal to feel a bit sore in a particular area where deeper work was engaged.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MASSAGE?
Massage and bodywork can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue, improve posture, and reduce blood pressure. Massage and bodywork is also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of well-being. In addition, it feels fantastic!
